Parking
An important part of planning your day at the Columbus Air Show is navigating your way to our parking lots. Please read the important parking and directions information below to help ensure that you have a smooth parking experience at the Columbus Air Show.
Gates Open at 9:00 AM
All vehicles parking at the show are required to obtain a paid parking pass online in advance.
Because there is a limited capacity for parking and traffic ingress/egress, once all parking passes have been reserved, no additional parking will be available. Parking passes will not be available for purchase at the gate. Those vehicles arriving without a parking pass will not be admitted.
General Parking assures guests a space at the airport within walking distance of the Air Show Main Entry Gate. These spaces must be purchased in advance. A limited number will be available each day. Each parking pass is only valid on the date listed on it.
VIP parking passes will be provided to guests in the Rickenbacker Club and to Corporate Chalet owners to provide to their guests. VIP parking will be adjacent to the VIP Gate Entrance.
A limited number of handicapped parking spaces will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis within the General Parking and VIP Parking lots. Handicapped parking will require guests to have an air show parking pass along with a handicap placard or license plate.
When you purchase a parking pass, it will prompt you to enter a license plate number. While we highly recommend entering one, it is not required. We have the technology to scan license plates as you drive up and it automatically checks for a parking pass. The goal is to help keep a steady stream of cars flowing into the parking lot vs having our parking attendants stop each car to check phones. If you do not enter a license plate number, please have your parking pass ready to present at the gates and follow our parking attendants’ directions.
** Air Show Admission Must Be Purchased Separately **
Additional Information
Expect increased traffic each day of the Air Show, with the heaviest traffic surge for outbound traffic between 3:45 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The Franklin County Sherriff’s Office has worked with the Air Show to develop traffic plans and will have several officers helping direct traffic at intersections along Alum Creek Dr./Rickenbacker Parkway and other key intersections. Officers will also be roving to ensure that vehicles do not stop illegally along the roadway.
All roads will remain open, but some routes may have only one lane in one direction.
You can enter the airport’s address (2241 John Circle Dr, Columbus, OH 43217) into your GPS for initial directions, but you will need to follow signage and parking attendants’ directions upon arrival to the show to be directed to your appropriate parking lot.
Departing traffic will be routed away from the show to provide the quickest route away from the airport. Be advised that the initial direction you are taken may not be the same direction from which you entered.
