The Future of Flight is Here!

Join us at our incredible STEM and Aviation area at the 2024 Columbus Air Show! This amazing STEM and Aviation area is available to EVERYONE throughout the weekend, June 14-16, while gates are open.

Experience STEM & Aviation is an 80’ x 80’ tented area that gives kids the chance to dive headfirst into exciting hands-on activities that will immerse them in the different opportunities in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and the world of aviation.

At the Columbus Air Show, we strive to encourage and create excitement for all opportunities within STEM and Aviation and this area achieves just that! We want to thank all our incredible STEM and aviation partners who are playing an important role in making this area possible. Check out additional details below to see what activities will be happening in the Experience STEM and Aviation area.

This year’s will feature many of Aviation STEM exhibitors who supported the 2023 Airshow, as well as some exciting new additions including students from The Ohio State University Solar Racing Team, and the Buckeye Space Launch Team, both of which have recently set records; as well as the National Intercollegiate Flight Competition Team’s from both Kent State University and Ohio State. We are excited to welcome the PAST Foundation to the exhibit area so they can promote STEM education in and out of school.

• Piston and turbine engine propulsion
• Rocket Propulsion demonstration and competition rockets on display
• Solar power demonstration and solar power vehicle display
• Aerodynamic lesson using a small tabletop wind tunnel
• Aviation history challenge
• Bernoulli’s principal demonstration
• Multiple aircraft on display
